As a Friend, you will receive frequent mailings concerning events and programs presented by The Library, special member-only programs and activities, and your membership card will provide discounts on admission to special events and purchases. Since 1990, hundreds of individuals, families and businesses have joined the Friends, holding booksales and other programs to raise thousands of dollars for the Library. These funds have purchased new books and equipment and supported many special projects. As a Friend, you will be among a special group of individuals, families and businesses that understand a public library is more than just books, and The Newark Public Library is more than just a library.
