The last day of service for the Roseville Branch will be Friday, January 2, 2009. After that date, materials checked out from the Roseville Branch may be returned to any Newark Public Library location.

Beginning the week of February 2, 2009, the Branch Brook Branch will be open Mondays and Fridays from 9:30am to 5:30pm and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 8:00pm.

Beginning the week of February 2, 2009 the Clinton Branch will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

The Main Library will continue regular operations six days a week, including three evenings: Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am to 5:30pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 9:00am to 8:00pm; and Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
The remaining seven branch libraries will continue their regular operations six days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Wednesdays from 1:00 to 8:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Library services end BEFORE the posted closing time.
- 30 minutes before closing
Last request for retrieval of materials.
- 15 minutes before closing
Entrance doors are closed. No one is admitted except patrons returning materials to the first floor Circulation area.
Book stacks are closed.
Reference services cease.
Computers and copiers are turned off.
- 10 minutes before closing
Doors to the Circulation Division are closed. Only those already in the room may check out materials.
