Van Buren Preschool The Van Buren Branch Library preschool class originated over forty years ago and has drawn countless children, parents and grandparents to the branch. As one of the most popular branch programs, generations of youngsters have made weekly trips to the branch for this program of finger plays, nursery rhymes, circle games, stories and coloring. Holidays like Halloween, Christmas and Easter are marked by special parties. The term ends with a "Graduation" ceremony for the preschoolers and their families. The class is held on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. October through May. Children must be at least three years old when they enroll and have an accompanying adult remain in the library.
