The Victoria Technology Center is located on the third floor of the Main Library and is open regular library hours. Services: New software called SAM™ automates the sign-in process and minimizes the waitif anyfor an available computer. A valid Newark or Irvington library card is all you need to get online, provided you have no overdue materials or outstanding fines over $15.00. If you are not eligible for a library card, present identification and ask for a visitor’s pass at the desk. Sessions are limited to one hour, with a maximum of two sign-ins per day. At the conclusion of your session, you may sign up for another session after an hour wait. Printing and downloading: You may also choose to save your work to a flash drive or a disc. Discs are available for purchase for $1.00. Assistance from staff: The Victoria Technology Center is made possible by a grant from the Victoria Foundation. Computers and Internet access are available in all children's rooms. Word processing for children is also available on the computers in the Main Library children's room. Students need to sign up for computer use at their local library. Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's Internet use. The Technology Training Center features twelve computers that are used for a variety of free scheduled classes such as Internet, Word Processing, Résumé Clinic and Blogging for Beginners.
