2009 Comic Poster Winners
We had so many wonderful entries this year. Thanks to all of the teens who showed their creativity in our "It's Not Cool to Steal from the Library" comic poster contest.
Winner – Nayyirah Sabir of the Madison Branch

Nayyirah is a tenth grader at Newark Collegiate Academy. She has been drawing since she could hold a pencil in her hand and practices nearly every day. Anime is one of her favorite art forms, and she loves reading manga, as well as participating in a dance company for young women. |
Runner-up – Andrew Bates Jr. of the Weequahic Branch

Andrew is a senior at Seton Hall Prep School. He has been drawing since preschool, and has worked hard to improve his drawing skills. Studying popular series like Dragonball Z and Code Geass has influenced his drawing style. He is even considering studying graphic design when he heads to college next year. |
