Summer Reading Challenge

Summer fun activities continue through August 29

The Victoria Foundation

The Summer Reading Challenge is a recreational summer literacy program for children ages 3 to 17. Participants are encouraged to read 20 minutes per day during the Challenge. Incentives are provided for every 100 minutes of reading, up to a maximum of 1,000 minutes. The Library will keep a reading log for each child.

El Desafío de Lectura de Verano es un programa de lectura recreativa para niños de 3 a 17 años. Estimula a los participantes a leer 20 minutos al día durante el verano. Los lectores reciben premios por cada 100 minutos de lectura, hasta alcanzar un máximo de 1,000 minutos. La biblioteca mantendrá una lista de libros leídos por cada niño.

Award Ceremonies

All Summer Reading Challenge members in good standing and their families are invited to attend the 2015 Summer Reading Challenge awards ceremony closing party. Join us in honoring each child's reading achievement! Certificates and prizes will be awarded to all members.
