The Newark Public Library and the three-time Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils invite all children in grades 1 through 8 who live or
attend school in Newark to create their own hockey story, real or imagined.
Children may participate according to their grade level: grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-8.
Prizes will be awarded to the top winner in each grade category. All stories must be
written by the child on the official “Hockey Story” booklet and submitted to any one
of The Newark Public Library’s Children’s Rooms. The deadline for entries is February 13, 2008.
Complete guidelines will be available in each Children’s Room.
