Included in this timely library show are miniature bags, master sized bags, new bags, bags with stunning logos, books about shopping bags, international bags from London, Paris, Australia, Japan, New York City, and also the Garden State. striped_bagsOther bags come from Great Britain, museums exhibits saluting great artists, and Bloomingdale’s historic bags dating from the 1970s.

The show is curated by William J. Dane, long-time Supervisor of Special Collections, who noted that the Special Bag Collection now totals over one thousand items, most of which are gifts from travelers and an enthusiastic public much interested in contemporary visuals for commercial establishments.
