Photos from the 2007 Harry Potter Knight Bus Tour
On Saturday, June 9, 2007, the Harry Potter Knight Bus arrived at The Newark Public Library. In celebration of the seventh and final Harry Potter book, patrons were invited to board the bus to make a short video about why they love Harry Potter. Over 150 people visited the Knight Bus. In addition to making a video, children and adults had the opportunity to attend a magic show in the Library, watch Hedwig the Owl entertain the waiting fans (and win a raffle of a Hedwig owl of their own), play a Tri-Wizard Bean Bag Toss, or enter the Bertie Botts Jelly Bean Guessing Game. The Library also raffled off a hardcover collection of the first six Harry Potter books. Hogwarts banners were hung along the wall and many patrons (and library staff) dressed as various Harry Potter characters. The Newark Public Library was the only library in New Jersey to be chosen to host the Knight Bus.
