Library announces additional children’s programs for July

Additional children’s programs have been added to the July schedule at the Newark Public Library, 5 Washington Street: Programs at the Branches, an initiative funded by the Newark Public Schools; and a multicultural puppet treat, funded by the Prudential Foundation. All of the library’s July events are free and open to the public. Entitled North, South, East and Jim West, this Theatreworks Production is a multicultural puppet treat that features a giant dragon from China, a Native American totem pole, and a hand shadow spider from Africa. It will be presented on Thursday, July 10 at two library locations: the Main Library at 10:30am in Centennial Hall (call 973-733-7797 for more information), and at the Van Buren Branch Library, 140 Van Buren Street, at 1:30pm (call 973-733-7750 for more information).
