Noted Mystery Writer to Unveil Newest Work at The Newark Public Library

Acclaimed Montclair mystery writer Valerie Wilson Wesley will discuss and sign her latest book in the Tamara Hayle series, Of Blood and Sorrow, Friday, February 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Centennial Hall of The Newark Public Library, 5 Washington Street, Newark.
Wesley’s public investigator heroine is a powerful Newark businesswoman with a teenage son. In the newest novel, the youth witnesses a brutal murder and becomes the prime suspect, setting Tamara’s world in turmoil.
A graduate of Howard University with master’s degrees from Bank Street College of Education and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Wesley is the author of seven other Tamara Hayle mysteries, in addition to the latest, as well as three novels and the Willimena Rules! books for children. She was formerly executive editor of Essence magazine and served as artist-in-residence at Columbia College in Chicago. She currently is an adjunct at Ramapo College.
