AARP Tax Service offered at The Newark Public Library

The Newark Public Library, 5 Washington Street, announced that volunteers from the AARP would assist seniors and low-income participants with filing their 2006 tax returns. This assistance is free and by appointment only. Those interested should call the AARP at 973-763-6431 to make an appointment; they are instructed not to call the Library to make this appointment.

This tax service will take place on Thursdays in the fourth-floor Auditorium or the fourth-floor Conference Room, from 9:30am to 4:30pm (by appointment only), on the following dates:

• February 1, 8, 15, and 22 - Auditorium
• March 1 and 8 - Auditorium
• March 15, 22, and 29 - Conference Room
• April 5 - Conference Room
• April 12 - Auditorium
