Press Release September 19, 2000 The Newark Public Library has revised its schedule of free programs entitled "Ask a Lawyer." The September 28 lecture on "Bankruptcy Law" has been canceled. The three remaining programs will be held as scheduled.
The lectures, intended for lay people, cover three legal topics and will be presented by attorneys from the Essex County Bar Foundation specializing in those fields. A "question and answer" session will be held at the end of each program. All programs will be held in the fourth-floor auditorium of the main library, 5 Washington Street, beginning 6pm. The series is cosponsored by the Essex County Bar Foundation and by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. The series is made possible through funding from the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey.
"Starting a Business in New Jersey" will be held on Wednesday, October 4, followed by "Family Law," on Thursday, October 12. The final program, "Tenants' Rights," will be held on Tuesday, October 17.
