Photos from the Tribute to John Cotton Dana, Commemorating the Sesquicentennial of His Birth Panel Discussion

As part of the Library's exhibition on John Cotton Dana, a panel discussion, reception, and gallery tour took place on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Main Library. Ezra Shales, Assistant Professor at Alfred University; Wilma J. Grey, Director of The Newark Public Library; Mary Sue Sweeney Price, Director of The Newark Museum; and Steven J. Diner, Rutgers University-Newark Provost were members of the panel.
The event was moderated by Timothy J. Crist, a member of The Newark Public Library's Board of Trustees.
Mayor Cory Booker opened the event, welcoming the audience to the exhibition, and speaking about Dana's contribution to the Library and the city of Newark.
The exhibition was curated by William J. Dane, the Library's Keeper of Prints, Posters and Works of Art on Paper, and Bruce E. Ford, Assistant Director of Access Services.
