Mascot naming-contest winner announced During the month of August, the Library held a special bear cub mascot-naming contest for our new '"Kids' Place" Web site. The panel of judges has selected the winning entry: Jessica Silva, of the Van Buren branch library, chose the name Corky. Corky Corky said, "Now I have a great home and a great name." Patrons may visit Corky by accessing the Library's home page at www.npl.org and clicking-on "Kids' Place." The site features numerous items of interest for children, including Kid's Calendar, Activity Zone, Internet Sites & Searching, and For Kids By Kids.
