Friends set dates for Book Sale; need volunteers

The Friends will be holding their Eighth Annual Book Sale from April 27 to 29. A members-only pre-sale is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, from 5:30 to 8pm. Dates/times for the public sale are Thursday, April 27, from 11am to 8pm; Friday, April 28, from 9:30am to 4pm; and Saturday, April 29, from 9:30am to 4pm.

Those who are not current dues-paying Friends members may join the organization the evening of April 26 to gain access to the members-only pre-sale.

The sale will feature reference works, hardcover books, paperbacks, records, videotapes, cassette tapes, CDs, and posters. Because of limited storage space, those wishing to donate items (no magazines or condensed books, please) in good, sellable condition are asked to wait until March before bringing them to the Main Library.

In addition to material donations, Jerry Caprio, Book Sale Chair, is seeking volunteers—individuals and organizations—to help sort the sale items before, during, and after the event. Those wishing to volunteer may leave a message for Jerry at the Library, in care of the Development Department, by calling 733-7793.
