Gourmet gala honors James CourterOn May 2, the Library held its annual Gourmet Gala—this time honoring James Courter, president and vice-chairman of IDT Corporation. Mr. Courter was saluted for making a significant contribution to the renaissance of Newark.
The black-tie event raised matching funds for the Library’s National Endowment for the Humanities grant. The Library extends a “thank you” to everyone who made the evening another financial success . . . especially to the corporate sponsors and to the restaurants that provided the culinary delights: The Dining Room at the Short Hills Hilton, The Manor, Highlawn Pavilion, and Pleasantdale Chateau.
