As part of “National Library
Week” in April, the Library held its annual Create-A-Book
contest. Carol Jenkins, local graphic artist, judged the
entries, which numbered more than two hundred. Pictured are
Juanita Egoavil, First Avenue Branch Manager; Charlie A.
Tavares, the First Avenue Branch patron who captured first-place
in the Pre-K to Grade 3 category; Carol Jenkins; Janice
Delaney, a Van Buren patron and first-place winner in the
Grades 4 through 8 category; and Susan Blake, Children’s
Librarian at the Van Buren Branch.
