Mary Higgins Clark chairs A.G.C.

Best-selling mystery writer Mary Higgins Clark will chair the Library’s Annual Giving Campaign for 1998. Frequently called “America’s Queen of Suspense,” Ms. Clark feels there is no mystery about the importance of a library in today’s cultural nourishment. For that reason, and many others, she has accepted the position of chair of the campaign, now in its second year. Contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign ensure the continuation of high-quality programs and services.

Following is the list of those who have given their support between April 16 and December 31, 1997. In addition to these generous benefactors, the Library wishes to thank four organizations for their continued assistance and underwriting of the campaign: Public Service Electric & Gas Company, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Jerry Lake Mailing Services, and Central Lewmar Paper Company.
