Friends set dates for 1998 Book Sale; seek volunteers The Friends will be holding their Seventh Annual Book Sale on April 16th (from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.), 17th and 18th (from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.). A members-only pre-sale is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15th, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. As usual, the sale will feature hard-cover books, paperbacks, records, videotapes, cassette tapes, CDs, and posters. Those wishing to donate items (no magazines, incomplete encyclopedia sets, textbooks over 10 years old, please) in good, sellable condition, are asked to wait until March before bringing them to the Main Library, because the storage space already is filled. Volunteers are needed to sort materials on the following Saturdays: February 7 & 21; March 7, 14, & 28; April 4 & 11. Please call Cynthia Tronco for further information: (973) 485-5928. |
