Vailsburg selected for revitalization This is a view of the Vailsburg Branch Library from February 1928 A preliminary rendering of the proposed Vailsburg Branch renovation was unveiled at a recent Library Board of Trustees meeting. Joining North End, Van Buren, Springfield, and Weequahic, this will be the fifth branch to undergo complete renovation and expansion. Nearly $5,000,000 in City funds have already been invested in this system-wide renovation project since 1989. While the architects and engineers refine the preliminary design, the Library will actively seek the necessary funding to make this dream a reality.
