New Jersey Theater Symposium and Exhibition The Newark Public Library will hold a December 12 symposium on the history of New Jersey theater. The program is funded by the New Jersey Historical Commission and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities and is sponsored by the East Lynne Company. Accompanying the symposium will be a comprehensive exhibition, curated by Charles F. Cummings, on the major professional theaters in the State. The twelve display cases on the Second-Floor Gallery of the Main Library will also highlight Newark’s role in the legitimate theater.
