An Afternoon of Poetry and Comedy at the Library-Presented by the Nuyorican Poets' Café

Back by popular demand. The Nuyorican Poets' Café presents an afternoon of savvy, well-honed comedy and poetry, hosted by poet Miguel Algarín. Algarín is the founder of the Nuyorican Poets Café in New York City and was the radio host of its live broadcasts on WBAI for more than eighteen years. A distinguished poet and critic on his own right, he has authored several collections of poetry and teaches at Rutgers University.

Sarah Jones, creator of the successful one-woman show titled, "Surface Transit: Ordinary Lives;" and Keith Roach, Slam Master at the Nuyorican Poets Café are two of the featured stand-up comics and poets.
