Each of the first, second and third place winners of both grade levels along with the high school honoree will receive complimentary tickets to the Newark Museum's Dreyfuss Planetarium and a Barnes and Noble gift certificate. The seven who were awarded honorable mention will receive a library pencil and paperback book.

Over 200 children participated in the Create Your Own Book program during National Library Week. The "books" were judged by local artist, Carol Jenkins who stated that this year's entries were some of the best especially in the lower grades.
