Fashionistas in Training w/ Mark Menzie

Students will design a capsule collection for the market of their choosing – intimates, sportswear, children’s or menswear. Whiles doing so, students will learn more about how fashion designers gather their inspiration, choose appropriate fabrics per season, how trends are spotted and how to merchandise a small yet cohesive collection.

Made@NPL is a community Makerspace within the Newark Public Library’s Main Branch that provides access to in-demand equipment, technology, and software. Geared toward Newark’s creative entrepreneurs, Made@NPL is a space to explore your creative and entrepreneurial potential, learn and practice new skills, and meet like-minded people.
