“I Want to See You Live”: Overdose Prevention Workshop

“I don’t know how to do it.”

“Someone else will help.”

“Why should I care?”

You can continue being an excuse maker (see above), or you can choose to embrace life and be ready to help your community in a moment of need. Administering naloxone to a friend, loved one, neighbor or total stranger should not be a mystery, and you learning how to do so literally could mean the difference between life and death for someone who has accidentally had an opioid overdose. Join the Newark Community Street Team’s Overdose Response Team (NCST-ORT) and learn how prevalent fentanyl is in the city, how to recognize the telltale signs of an overdose, and, of course, learn to use Narcan to reverse an overdose.

NCST-ORT’s motto is “We Want to See You Live.” That means everyone in the community. Registration is encouraged but not required.
