Join us for an arts workshop as part of The Newark Public Library and The Newark Museum’s Anniversary celebration!<\/p>\n

Mansa K. Mussa will instruct\u00a0students in the design of a folded\u00a0accordion spiral design book that\u00a0contains the story of their life\u2019s odyssey,\u00a0filled with facts, flights of reverie, and\u00a0brief moments of euphoria.<\/p>\n

Participants will incorporate the mediums\u00a0of collage, drawing, text, graphics, and\u00a0photographs taken during the workshop.\u00a0Students will also add geometric shapes,\u00a0peel and stick graphics, and written text\u00a0to complete the book.<\/p>\n
