Pulitzer Prize-nominated, <\/span>NJ resident, Faleeha Hassan, <\/span>will discuss her new memoir, <\/span>War and Me, <\/span><\/em>a<\/span>n intimate memoir about coming of age in a tight-knit <\/span>working-class family during Iraq\u2019s seemingly <\/span>endless series of wars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hassan is a poet, teacher, editor, writer, playwright born in Najaf, Iraq. Faleeha is the first woman to write poetry for children in Iraq. She received her master’s degree in Arabic literature, and has now published 25 books.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
