Meet & Mend with us at Made@NPL!\u00a0Starting October 5th, Newark Public Library Main Branch will host a monthly mending\/upcycling club.\u00a0Meet new friends and crafters while fixing that shirt you haven’t worn in years! Resources and sewing machines will be available on a first come first served basis.<\/p>\n

Beginners will receive hands-on introduction to basic hand sewing and machine sewing.\u00a0Co-sewing (by hand and by machine) and mingling with other library members is encouraged. We\u2019ll also share resources and demo some techniques for DIY mending and upcycling clothing!<\/p>\n

Please bring any or all of the following:<\/p>\n

\n
• Clothing you\u2019d like to mend<\/li>\n
• Clothing, scrap cloth, or materials to repurpose<\/li>\n
• Additional materials such as heat transfer vinyl or infusible ink for Cricut use, specialty threads, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
