This seminar will focus on current landlord-tenant court processes. Court staff from the Essex Vicinage and representatives from local agencies will discuss a variety of available services, with a focus on resources for landlords and tenants. Topics will include:<\/p>\n

• the voluntary pretrial\/settlement conference process<\/li>\n
• the courts’ role in handling eviction complaints<\/li>\n
• the rights and responsibilities of\u00a0landlord<\/span>s<\/li>\n
• the rights and responsibilities of tenants<\/li>\n
• the services of the Judiciary Ombudsman Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  This seminar is free, open to the public, and sponsored by the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage Civil Division; the Office of the Ombudsman; and the Vicinage Advisory Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement.<\/p>\n
