She has successfully competed in HBO\u2019s Russell Simmons Presents Brave New Voices and Knicks Poetry Slam competitions. Mans released her first book, Chalk Outlines of Snow Angels in May 2012. That same year, she was chosen by Glamour Magazine, as one of their Top 10 Most Influential Women in College. Jasmine is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where she began mentoring younger poets and teaching creative writing in the First Wave program, and Newark’s own Arts High School.<\/p>\n This program was made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
