The Newark History Society’s next program will feature Gail Malmgreen discussing “The Many Faces of Newark: Revelations from 15 Years of the Newark Archives Project.”
Gail is Director of the Newark Archives Project, an online guide launched by the Newark History Society in 2009 that now has more than 4,500 comprehensive descriptions of primary source materials related to Newark and Newarkers: nap.rutgers.edu
If you’ve done historical research, you know the excitement of coming across an unexpected trove of material about your topic. Over the last 15 years, Gail has had that experience over and over again — so much rich material related to Newark and so many topics to explore! She will describe some of her most interesting finds, and point out opportunities for future research.
Open to the public at no cost. Light refreshment served.
Co-sponsored by NJPAC and the Newark Public Library.
