Newark Public Library Juneteenth Closure Notice

Dear Patrons,

In observance of Juneteenth, all branches of the Newark Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and is a significant day of reflection and celebration.

We encourage you to join in the various community events and activities happening around Newark to honor this important day.

The library will resume its regular hours on Thursday, June 20, 2024. We look forward to welcoming you back to explore our resources, attend programs, and enjoy the quiet study spaces.
