Join us this September as we shine a spotlight on Deaf Awareness Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the significance of Deaf culture and the journey toward a more inclusive society.

Visit the Main Library lobby to view a display featuring resources from the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

The New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is at the forefront of advocating for Deaf individuals and those with hearing loss. Their resources encompass a wide range of topics, from accessible technology to support services and educational materials.

The display showcases a treasure trove of materials, information, and resources:

  • Equipment Distribution Program Applications
  • Hearing Aid Programs
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing Sensitivity Training Information 
  • Sign Language Interpreters or Real-Time Captioning Information
  • Language Instruction Program for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind Children Ages 0-5 Information
