Free Memory Screenings
Memory Screenings—rescheduled!
Medicare recommends that people over the age of 65 get a memory screening every year. Early diagnosis of dementia allows individuals to better prepare for their future care, make treatment and end of life decisions, and establish legal and financial plans while cognitively capable.
We will have 8 slots between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for people to get a memory screening from the Act Now Foundation. All people who hope to have a screening MUST REGISTER in advance.
A memory screening consists of a 30-minute personal interview. You will have the results right away and discuss them with our Certified Dementia Practitioner.
Wednesday, March 13 10 AM – 2 PM Newark Public Library Main Branch 5 Washington Street Newark, NJ 07102
This program is made possible by funding from the Essex County Division on Aging.
To register for a memory screening, please call 973.733.7779 or email: reference@npl.org or slorenz@npl.org.
