Honoring Black Veterans

An exhibit honoring Black Veterans!

The opening reception for this exhibit was Saturday November 8th. Dr. Larry Greene, Professor of History at Seton Hall University gave a talk titled, Black Veterans Through America’s Wars: Service, Sacrifice, and Aspirations, highlighting the history, experiences, and lasting contributions of Black service members. The talk was followed by a Q&A discussion with the audience.

Adjusting the FOCUS: The Vietnam War Through the Lens of Black Combat Photographer Dwight Carter, co-curated by Roger C. Tucker III and Emily Konopinski presented by Green Door Studio, will be  on view on the 2nd floor, in the hallway outside the James Brown African American Room, through December 31.

The exhibit features powerful images that capture the courage, resilience, and humanity of Black soldiers during the Vietnam War.
