On Saturday November 5th, 2022 the Newark Public Library and the National Black Political Convention (NBPC) co-hosted The John Lewis Voting Rights Plenary Session, a pre-election special roundtable. The event featured a panel discussion on voting rights with a distinguished panel of guests:

Larry Hamm, People’s Organization for Progress
Junius Williams, Newark City Historian
Lauren Wells, Educator & Community Organizer.
The discussion was moderated by author and education advocate Kaleena K. Berryman.
