Join artist Roxana Marroquin as she discusses her current work and practice as a community farmer and herbalist in relation to her work as a visual artist.

Marroquin is an artist, art therapist, educator, urban farmer, and herbalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in photography from New Jersey City University and a Master of Science in Art Therapy from the College of New Rochelle.

Through her photography and multimedia work, she has explored her own identity of migration and connection to the land. These explorations evolved into a personal practice of community gardening and herbalism, which she approaches as artistic expressions.

These days, she weaves urban agriculture and herbalism with narrative storytelling, mindfulness, creativity and cultural arts into a unique practice of environmental stewardship and community.
