The Friends of the James Brown African American Room, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., present a reading and discussion of this critically-acclaimed portrait of Dr. King.

The Man in Room 306, written by Craig Alan Edwards, presents a fictional glimpse into the private passions and personal fears of an incredible man during an extraordinary time.  Following the reading, join us for a community discussion.

Jamil A.C. Mangan (above left) stars in this one-man performance, directed by Jerome Preston Bates (above right), a production of Luna Stage in West Orange, NJ.

Activitist and community leader Lawrence Hamm (above) will moderate the discussion.

Light refreshments will be available.
