Be among the first to receive the @NewarkLibrary’s exclusive limited-edition library cards featuring the artwork by the latest artists from Newark Artist Collaboration, including Shoshanna Weinberger @shoshannaweinberger, Danielle Scott @artistdaniellescott, and Kelley Prevard @prevardk, along with a special children’s card featuring the work of Cazorla + Saleme (@patcazorla/@threadingtrends).
Then, dive into a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Newark Women in Public Arts: She Made Up Her Mind to Get Free.”
In honor of the one-year anniversary of Newark’s #HarrietTubmanMonument, hear from the artists behind the new multi-site installation surrounding Tubman Square, Aisha Glover @AishaGlover, Head of the Global Center for Urban Development at @Audible, and Rebecca Pauline Jampol @rjampol, lead coordinator for the #NewarkArtistCollaboration and co-director of @projectforemptyspace. The discussion will be moderated by Lauren LeBeaux Craig @laurenlebeaux, Executive Director of @NewarkArts, with poet MIA X @miaxthepoetfromnwknj opening the discussion with a poem about Harriet Tubman.
