Booked for The Evening 125th Anniversary Gala - Newark Public Library

Booked for The Evening 125th Anniversary Gala

This year marks an extraordinary milestone for the Newark Public Library—our 125th Anniversary

We invite you to join us for a very special Anniversary Gala on “Giving Tuesday”, December 2nd, 2025, held right here at the heart of our city: The Newark Public Library

This year’s theme honors not just our past, but our future. As we embark on our next chapter, we are more committed than ever to advancing literacy and celebrating the voices that shape Newark’s rich cultural landscape. From poets and novelists to spoken word artists and historians, Newark has long been home to powerful literary figures whose work reflects the heartbeat of our community.

Step into a night where stories come alive and generosity writes the next chapter. Our annual fundraising gala celebrates the power of literacy and the heartbeat of our city. The Newark Public Library—For 125 years, it’s been more than just shelves; it’s been a sanctuary of imagination, equity, and opportunity. Tonight, we raise our voices—and our glasses—to keep that legacy thriving.

Our 125th Gala will be a tribute to those voices and a call to action for what lies ahead. Your presence and support will help us continue our mission—to expand access to books, learning resources, and programs that uplift every corner of our city.
